A Queer Collision
About Stuart Waters
Stuart Waters is an Eastbourne-based, intersectional dance artist who places access, care, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of his work.
Driven by social activism, Stuart has been navigating mental health access and disability as a core component to his "live practice" over the last 8 years. He has been developing his unique artistic voice in international advocacy for diversity and inclusion through public speaking, co-creation, teaching and performance.
About A Queer Collision
A Queer Collision is a mash-up of private and historical queer stories that is both funny and poignant. Against a backdrop of LGBTQIA+ social history, Stuart and Willie take us on a journey through their own tales of mischief and misadventure using dance, spoken word and comedy.
Uniquely, audio description has been embedded into the creative process. This creates an experience that is resonant and accessible for those with and without visual impairment – whilst developing a radical, inclusive, provocative, safe and fun night out.
Stuart brings A Queer Collision to Eastbourne after two sell-out nights at the Brighton Festival in May 2023 and an autumn tour.
A Queer Collision is a rich and joyful show with an approach to deep inclusivity and with embedded access at its heart. So, we invite everyone to join us for a warm, welcoming night out, and share in celebration of Queer stories that deserve to be heard.
Venue: Eastbourne Opera and Dramatic Society Centre, 96 Seaside, Eastbourne BN22 7QP. The show starts at 7.45pm.
