Sophie Wright – Meditation Pods
Sophie Wright is a multi-disciplinary artist specialising in drawing, sculpture and community workshop. She is also an experiences meditation practitioner working 1-to-1 or in groups up to 40 participants. Wright is weaving these two practices into Meditation Pods project as part of Eastbourne ALIVE celebrating Turner Prize 2023 coming to Eastbourne.
Guided by Sophie Wright, young people aged 16-24 meet each week to mind map creative ideas, meditate and holistically explore wellbeing and safe spaces. Through that process, three meditation pods will be created and placed in East Sussex libraries where visitors can enjoy a reflective moment.
