Devonshire Youth Collective and Sanctuary have joined forces to work with Nadina Ali to bring some creative energy to the streets of Eastbourne! Love, Empathy, Respect, Dignity is a newly commissioned public artwork by Nadina Ali, in collaboration with Devonshire Youth Collective and Sanctuary. Commissioned in partnership with Eastbourne ALIVE, in celebration of the Turner Prize 2023.
Commissioned in partnership with Eastbourne ALIVE, in celebration of the Turner Prize 2023. The artwork is installed on the hoardings in front of Eastbourne Redoubt, on the seafront pedestrian pathway. 30 September - 22 December 2023.
About Nadina Ali
Nadina Ali is a graphic artist from Marseille, currently based in London. She’s passionate about social justice and representation, using bold and colourful typography to address those topics in a highly engaging way for a wide range of people. She also places emphasis on making art and creativity accessible to as many people as possible, aiming to amplify the voices of under-represented people.
Nadina Ali is working with Devonshire Collective and Sanctuary to deliver an exciting project for the Devonshire Youth Collective, working on a collaborative billboard to be placed in Eastbourne in September 2023.

About Devonshire Collective
Devonshire Collective (DC) is a cultural and community organisation operating across a network of ex-retail sites in the Devonshire West ward, Eastbourne – a vibrant area with a long-standing community.
At their gallery, VOLT, they commission significant first solo exhibitions by emerging and underrepresented artists living in East Sussex and nationally. DC are studio providers to a range of creatives and makers. DC Learn is a learning and engagement programme for families, young people and our communities in Devonshire West ward. The galleries and programmes are free, and open to all.
